MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT ON 100-ACRE SITE NEAR WOMAN'S HOSPITAL MOVING FORWARD

Woman's Hospital has signed a deal for a local developer to build a 100-acre mixed-use development near the hospital on its sprawling 225-acre campus.
The Materra development has been under discussion and planning for several years.
Engquist Development is slated to work on the project and purchased 31 acres from the hospital to work on infrastructure for the first phase, which includes 148 single family houses. There are plans for two more phases, but that land has not yet been sold.
